Cherice's Pieces

Bombarded by a steady stream of data, demands, and decisions, she felt fragmented—uncertain of herself and even less certain of her place in the current universe. She wished that a pause button would induce a state of suspended animation, creating a conceptual place outside the fabric of space-time where she could recompose herself. In that space she would collect and consider pieces of herself. She would sift, sort, synthesize, reshape, and revise her thoughts, her life, and herself there.

The Countdown Has Begun!

The final countdown has begun
To the day when I can finally have fun!

If I can finish this chapter tonight
The end will truly be in sight

Then the last layer finally begins--
Adding in lit. and polishin'

In less than a month I hope to defend
And bring this miserable task to an end!

Meanwhile as if that weren't enough
Stress to keep my blood pressure up

I move in a week, I'm still trying to pack
One step at a time is the plan of attack

Though I've come a long way, I've still miles to go
But at least in Utah, there's sun when there's snow!
